The 18 bottle specification applies to normal standard bottle mass . If you are storing
jumbos, etc .,like champagne magnums then you will have to come down on the number
of bottles you can store . However the shelves can be moved around to configure for this.
There appears to be a small amount of efficiency loss if the cooling coils become covered
in dust over time. Reports are that this is only about a couple of degrees . A bit of
cleaning by air blowing will correct this keep the unit operating at maximum capacity.
